MG Naturkosmetik is a leader in premium, Demeter-certified natural cosmetics. While their preservative-free approach is a mark of quality, it presented a massive digital challenge: a short shelf-life that required hyper-accurate inventory management. Their existing, heavily customized Shopware 5 system had become a "legacy trap," relying on manual CSV exports and fragmented processes that stifled growth. The mission: A radical replatforming to Shopify, the elimination of makeshift B2B workarounds, and a deep integration with Sage 100 to turn their complex "freshness logistics" into a competitive advantage.


Our team implemented a high-performance "Best-of-Breed" strategy, rebuilding the technological foundation from the ground up within a tight six-month window. We migrated the entire ecosystem from Shopware 5 to Shopify, leveraging the native B2B module to eliminate maintenance overhead and maximize operational agility. A cornerstone of this transition was the development of a bidirectional, real-time interface with Sage 100, which now handles automated inventory, order processing, and batch management. Beyond the architecture, we conducted a comprehensive cleanup of "dirty data" and customer duplicates accumulated over years to establish a true "Single Source of Truth." To enhance the customer journey, we also integrated a digital Skin Type Consultant and a partner-store locator, bridging the gap between digital discovery and brand loyalty.
Delivered exactly in time, in budget, and in scope, the new infrastructure has transformed the company’s IT from a bottleneck into a powerful growth engine. The most significant impact is a gain of up to three hours in daily productivity through the full automation of the order-to-cash cycle, which has completely eliminated manual data entry. Real-time synchronization has achieved a near-zero error rate, virtually removing overselling and shipping discrepancies while ensuring full compliance with strict Demeter standards. Ultimately, MG Naturkosmetik now operates on a future-proofed setup that is fully prepared for their planned 2026 international marketplace expansion.
